Editorial policy
How the content on this site is written, reviewed and corrected.

Clinical review
Every clinical article is written or reviewed by a named clinician who performs the procedure it describes. The reviewer's name appears on the article.
Evidence and uncertainty
Where evidence is contested or thin, we say so rather than presenting a preference as consensus. We do not cite studies we have not read.
Imagery
Patient photography is published only with written, revocable consent and is never retouched, filtered or re-lit. Where consented imagery is unavailable, we use clearly generated illustrations rather than stock photography presented as patients.
Corrections
Errors are corrected in place with a dated note. Report one to care@aurevia.health.
